Prepare yourselves, Wonderland awaits!

After a long seven months of teaser trailers, American McGee finally released the release date and some gameplay for his newest game "Alice: Madness Returns"!

The gameplay shows a very dark setting in a crumbled castle at first, then moves to a garden maze with lots of hidden dangers. To help her along the way, Alice has access to many weapons including a vorpal blade (kitchen knife), a pepper grinder to work like a machine gun, and a horse stick hammer. She can also double-jump, glide, and shrink at will to find hidden platforms. The Cheshire Cat comes back to guide Alice along the way.

All the trailers (including the fan-made trailer) are shown below. It will be released on June 14, 2011. Any thoughts?

The French reveal details about The Last Guardian

After three years of having only a small teaser trailer for this game, the French magazine PSM3 got some hands-on with the game along with some time with creator Fumito Ueda. Gamermint translated the article and has released a list of details can you expect in the game.

Here's the list of details:

"Dead Island" Announcement Trailer Surfaces

Back in 2007, Techland announced "Dead Island," an open-world, first-person zombie game. This week, they released the first trailer for it. Despite the lack of gameplay footage, this game is shaping up to be a disturbing game.

Here's the trailer:

"Hero" Canceled by Midway Games

This is a sad day for both gamers and Midway Games. Midway filed for bankruptcy back in 2009 and has just recently released a gameplay video of a really interesting game they were working on titled "Hero". It was going to be an open-world game where you could make your own hero with plenty of awesome powers. While watching the video, I got a Infamous-meets-Crackdown vibe from it.

Sony Announces The NGP

Rumors have been circulating around the web of Sony releasing a new handheld system. Well, last night at their press conference, they put those rumors to rest and unveiled "Codename NGP"!

They've confirmed that they are doing away with the UMD disks in favor of a new flash memory-based card. It will have two thumb-sticks, a front touchscreen, a back touchpad, and front and back cameras. They also confirmed some titles for the system will be Call of Duty, Broken, Gravity Daze, Hot Shots Golf, Hustle Kings, Killzone, LittleBigPlanet, Little Deviants, Reality Fighters, Resistance, Uncharted,  and WipEout. Full specs of the system are below:

Updates

Hey everyone, this is Geoff of the VGP. Just came to let y'all know I updated the episode section so it now links to the list of episodes as opposed to Google as well as updated the Highlight Reel with the newest episodes. We will hopefully have the stream up for games/podcast recording (this time for real). We finally figured out  how to make the equipment work so expect some games later maybe this coming week. Hope you enjoy the podcast and forums :)

Getting Started August 16

We are now able to record video via a dvd recorder, and audio via audacity. ^_^

Recently I've been trying to see how to stream video, when we get a device that will allow us to plug the Gaming System into the computer, hopefully this would work. 8)

I've gotten two video's posted onto youtube, nothing is really great or big but we would have move when we finally get a introduction to place at the begging and possibly end of each video.
